The Namibian Volleyball Federation hosted the Zone 6 Volleyball Championships in Swakopmund from 10-20 December 2016. It was held at the indoor sports complex, “The Dome”.

Teams from many Southern African countries participated. From South Africa, the top two  men’s and women’s teams who competed at Champion’s Cup in Durban in September 2016 qualified to participate, yet due to financial and logistical restrictions, only the UWC women managed to send a team to represent South Africa at the Zone 6 tournament.
